Pulse


Pulse is a dance film that explores the topic of anti-Asian racism to empower racialized groups to connect and visualize the impacts of deep-rooted systems of discrimination. Allen Co-Directed with Olya Glotka and Co-Choreographed with Kate Kato McHugh to create an artistic exploration that embodies the state of neglect through moving images, dance, and music. Funded by the City of Mississauga through the BIPOC Community Curator program, Pulse captures the subject revolving around belonging, identity and persistence through a dialogue with Louise Noguchi’s film, Searchers.
