Clearing

Waking up one morning in quiet solitude to a lush Canadian snowfall, everything seemingly pandemic, feels torn apart. The soft glow of flurries converge with the reflective turmoil of motherhood, isolation, aging, identity and the weather of change. Unplanned and inspired by the serendipitous elements, the dancer’s emotions and union with self becomes complicit with finding peace in challenging times. The footage is captured in a 15 minute shoot at the end of 2020 in the South Bruce Peninsula and features music composed during COVID-19 by award-winning Canadian composer Grej.
